What happened

IPSC Practical Shooting will bring international police delegations to the Hatillo Shooting Range for a competition combining accuracy, speed and sporting discipline at the 4th USIP World Police Games.

Each country may enter one team comprising five competing athletes, one substitute and one delegate. Teams may be male, female or mixed, with no mandatory gender quota.

Competitors will complete approved IPSC stages under the supervision of designated range officials. Scoring will follow the IPSC system, with results verified before final rankings are confirmed following the resolution of any outstanding appeals.

The competition will operate under IPSC regulations, USIP provisions and event-specific technical decisions. Equipment inspections, mandatory protective eyewear and hearing protection, controlled access and on-site medical support form part of the event’s safety framework.

Hosted by the Dominican Republic National Police, the discipline aims to provide fair and transparent competition while encouraging camaraderie and strengthening connections among participating police organisations.

Through precision, composure and respect for the rules, Practical Shooting will celebrate sporting achievement and international cooperation.
